If there is one thing we learned last election, it is that polls are not phoney. They may have asked the question a certain way, but it is not reasonable any more to keep pretending that polls dont matter.
Exactly. Ask President Romney about how the polls are irrelevant.
I feel like I have to keep repeating this, but we can't hope to change the situation if we can't or won't be honest about the spot we're in.

This is one thing that still makes me shake my head. It’s like we haven’t learned anything from what happened last year.
I wish that the polls were truly skewed, but we saw pretty convincingly that they were remarkably accurate for the most part. So I get a really unsavory, unpleasant sense of deja vu when I see folks around here in denial over what the numbers are showing. I like to think of them like Heisenberg did.. even if the poll numbers didn’t show precisely where we are, they’re still pretty good at showing what direction we’re moving in.
