'Pre-K For All' A Federal Takeover Of Family Duty
Investors Business Daily ^ | June 24, 2013 | By PHYLLIS SCHLAFLY

Posted on 06/24/2013 3:14:44 PM PDT by Oldeconomybuyer

Under the media's radar, Obama has been aggressively promoting one of his fiscally extravagant projects announced in his 2013 State of the Union Address: "preschool available to every single child in America."

The plan for the federal government to take over the care of preschool children, a longtime goal of the feminists that used to be called universal child-care, is now (probably to sound academic) called pre-K.

I didn’t even have “K” when I was a kid. Jumped right into first grade. Don’t know how I ever made it.

More taxes, more government indoctrination.

Turn your kids into mindless Socialist drones.

Dismantle the public school system. Our taxes are being used to brainwash children.

Same here and I got a darned good education and foundation. We learned to read, write and spell without computers. I can’t believe the illiteracy and spelling of some high school kids today - that goes double for some in college. Its pathetic! But, they darned well know all about sex education, abortion and homosexuality.

My parents sent me to kindergarden for about three or four days. I couldn’t stand the place and they couldn’t stand me, and the experiment didn’t last any longer than that. Nothing prior to 1’st grade was mandatory at that time.

Well you can’t have all those horrible synagogues and churches providing pre-K services and schools.

Creates division. We must all be the same.

[Schlafly article] The principal reason for the gap is the difference between kids who live with their own mother and father and those who don't. There are no plans to reduce the tremendous financial incentives of taxpayers' money doled out that discourage marriage and incentivize illegitimacy.

At some point, Phyllis, you might begin to suspect that the entire purpose of the program, and of its forebears, and of its intellectual underpinnings, is to delegitimize marriage, statalize the care of the young, and indoctrinate the young politically before they or their parents realize that something sinister, like the Hitler Youth and the Young Oktobrists, is being done to them.

I went to kindergarten 25 years ago, but that was in a local school, not a wasteful federal program.

“When Napoleon seizes the nine dogs for himself, it’s one of the early signs of his corrupt intentions. He takes them from their parents, Jessie and Bluebell, shortly after they are born, “saying that he would make himself responsible for their education,” and then raising them in isolation from the rest of the farm (3.12).
The dogs do not reappear until tension between Napoleon and Snowball reaches a breaking point. After it appears that Snowball has won the crowd, Napoleon lets out a whistle; “At this there was a terrible baying sound outside, and nine enormous dogs, wearing brass-studded collars came bounding into the barn” (5.14). They drive Snowball off the farm. From this point on, the dogs are constantly with the pigs, intimidating and threatening the other animals to make sure that the pigs get their way. The narrator ironically notes, “It was noticed that they wagged their tails to him [Napoleon] in the same way as the other dogs had been used to do to Mr. Jones”

Pretty soon they’ll have government SOBs in the delivery rooms, waiting to catch the kids as they come out and hustle them away.

And have you noticed the increasing amount of misspelled words on the TV news banners? Every night there’s one on our local news....we wait for it. The generation that’s graduating college never read a book and has no idea how to use the English language.

Another horrific byproduct of the women’s liberation movement. Most single moms don’t even care what their children are learning or IF their children are learning. Gotta go to work!

Well, you did good. We enrolled our oldest daughter into public school at Kindergarten level. The school had budget cutbacks and combined Kindergarten with a 1st-grade class. The teacher interviewed us to see if our child could cut it with 1st-graders. She asked if our kid knew about the world. So I spoke of how our daughter knew how the world was the third of nine planets in the solar system, had an eliptical orbit around the sun causing seasons. She even knew how the Moon caused the ocean tides.

The teacher had a glazed look on her face, and said she meant does our child know about our country versus other countries. I said never mind. Our daughter was way ahead of the 1st-graders. After a couple years wasting her time there, we pulled her out and put her in a catholic school with better teachers. Public schools are worthless.

“Free” daycare for unwed mothers to dump their bastards into. Of course it’s not free to those of us who are stuck paying for it. They are using government to steal from their neighbors.
