According to Dallas-based EchoLight Studios, the former GOP presidential candidate will be the new CEO of “the first movie company to produce, finance, market and distribute faith-based, family films across all releasing platforms.”

Mr. Santorum announced the venture on Fox News’ “The Huckabee Show” on Saturday.

“This is the right place and right time, and I’ve jumped in with both feet,” he said. “I often say that culture is upstream from politics, and I know entertainment also can be strength and light for people who want to be uplifted and reinforced in their values. Dallas can become the Hollywood of the faith-and-family movie market......

Well, here's a storyline to get you started, Rick. It's about a left-wing cabal that seeks to take over America during a financial crisis with the help of a slobbering media that refuses to report the truth about the cabal and accuses anyone who opposes them as racist extremists.

A small-but-growing group of freedom-lovers rally against the cabal but the opposing party dismisses them as kooks and tries to derail their efforts and their spokespeople at every turn.

It doesn't seem as if the country has much of a chance at surviving until a miraculous religious conversion takes place and the people take back their country, heal their economy and throw those from the cabal and their media chums in jail where there will be much weeping and gnashing of teeth.

It's just an idea, Rick. But see if you can work with it.

Great! Fantastic! Good for him!

Now, he will have a legitimate job position, when he comes out in his bratty, pouty-lipped attitude, as he demonstrated in the primaries, when no theaters will show his films.

It is a very good endeavour, to counter a lot of what comes from Hollywood, I wonder how many people remembering giving their hard-earned money to his campaign, only to have him quit, and give none of it back?

Rots of Ruck, Rick.

Good for him. If he can find some good properties this would be a great venture.

I had my qualms with elements of his record, but I wish him all the best in this endeavour. Hope his daughter’s okay too.

Methinks that might be the movie studio Glenn Beck recently purchased. He talked about the purchase last Thursday or Friday.

What colossal arrogance.

It’s fine to take a job in a business you know nothing about and learn it. But the CEO job?

He will fail, and fail hard. It will be bad for the movie business, because a lot of people are going to lose a lot of money. And it will be bad for conservatism, because his movies will stink. Because he’s an amateur.

There are lots of conservative people in Hollywood with experience and track records who could and should be doing this job.
