No pistol permits in Ak. Reason is they were unenforceable and the state police even wanted them gone; practically everybody in Alaska had a couple guns in their truck for bear protection & road hunting. Frank Murkowski was governor, he revoked the pistol permits; everybody thought he done good too.

That could occur all over America if people would demand it, refuse to comply. Laws only work when the populace thinks they are fair and also respect them.

I've never lived in a state with more freedom than Alaska; and I like it, have for over 20 years.
