So are we in a climate crisis? No. Is a crisis looming? Not noticeably. Is a crisis possible? Maybe, in the sense that anything is possible. Even global cooling. But no degree of climate change is likely that requires the level of government intervention the White House is promoting. Mr. Obama’s hype about a warming world comes off as retro nostalgia. His proposed solutions are simply the same old failed big-government policies: throwing billions at “green energy” firms on the way to bankruptcy; spending more billions on endless infrastructure projects to “prepare” for climate change; funding endless make-work studies, workshops, reviews and task forces; and increasing regulation of every aspect of the American economy.

Coal is the largest source of energy of electricity, and the left has already tied up the cleanest source, nuclear power, in courts for decades. An impotent America is the goal. Just what I was trying to say Secret Agent. Prince bin Talal represents the House of Saud. “His” company, Kingdom Holdings, represents more the 90% of Saudi investments. He is the largest external holder of New Corp (Fox and WSJ), one of the largest in Citibank, AIG, Oracle, Cisco, Goldman Sachs, Siemens, ... This is about big, big business. Are they simply protecting their prerogatives over their harems, their castles, their race horses, their airplanes...? They are presumably buying protection from their own creations, the Salafist and Al-Qaeda terrorists. They are buying protection from the 12th Mahdi (or was it the 11th?), Shia Muslims who have been battling with Sunnis for about 1300 years over who are the real Muslims.
