The local medias disdain for Sheriff David Clarkes pro-gun advocacy has, by now, been pretty well established.
But Journal-Sentinel reporter/columnist Dan Bice has brought an Inspector Javert-like doggedness to the anti-Clarke narrative. While ignoring much of Clarkes substantive critique of crime, guns, and self-defense, Bice has several times now written about Clarkes "ties" to individuals or groups who Bice clearly thinks are "fringe" extremists. This apparently includes anyone who has ever said anything nice about Clarke, given him an award, or even merely had him as a guest on a show.

Thank you, marktwain. I haven't been following this story closely enough to have realized the good sheriff is black. Much, suddenly, is explained, though I doubt the word "uppity" will appear in leftist extremist "news" papers. I thought the sheriff said nothing but the obvious. Small wonder he's being persecuted by the presstitutes.

(Sorry, couldn’t resist)
Sheriff Clarke is a law and order Democrat who was first appointed by a Republican Governor and has continued to be re-elected in Milwaukee County for the last decade. Clarke enjoys nearly 100% Republican support. His detractors once accused him (gasp) of wearing blue contact lenses!

When I lived in Wisconsin, admittedly quite a few years ago, the state motto was, "Here. Hold my beer. Watch this." Still the same, eh?
