EXCLUSIVE: Palin throws down gaunlet on primary challenge to Rubio, Ayotte
Brietbart ^ | Wednesday June 26, 2013 | Tony Lee

Posted on 06/25/2013 10:18:13 PM PDT by Bigtigermike

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who has the most influence among conservative voters in Republican primaries, told Breitbart News on Tuesday that Sens. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) should be primaried for their support of the Senate's immigration bill.

“Conservatives are getting ready for the 2014 and 2016 primaries. We have long memories, and there will be consequences for those who break campaign promises and vote for this amnesty bill," Palin told Breitbart News. "Competition makes everyone work harder, be better, and be held accountable. This applies to politics, too. No one is ‘entitled’ to anything."

She continued, "Rigorous debate in competitive primaries allows candidates the opportunity to explain their flip-flops. So think of contested primaries as a win-win for politicians and their voters."

Palin responded to Breitbart News's request for comment about an interview she did earlier on Tuesday with John Gibson on Fox News radio in which she said Rubio and Ayotte "turned their back" on voters and should be primaried to be held accountable. Rubio and Ayotte will be up for reelection in 2016.

Such blathering. It wasn’t the right time for her to run. Just because we all wanted her to, she is led by a higher power than me or you.

You must have me confused with someone else. I never accused you of being a troll. I do think you’re making a false dichotomy between emotion and action. Passion drives action. Computers don’t fight for justice. People with strong beliefs and motivations do.

As for Gowdy, not sure why you’re getting all emotional about getting your answer from folks like me, when you could easily look up his history for yourself. The local papers have his bio, and he sure seems like a man of action to me. I’d give my eye teeth to do even half as much good as he has done, and him still a young man rising, and me in my declining years.

But I do appreciate your challenge. It made me dig deeper and now I have an even stronger belief that he’s every bit the good man he seems to be, and will follow up that goodness with meaningful action as the opportunity arises.

Sorry, as exciting as Ted Cruz is for actually having a stiff conservative spine, one thing he is not is a natural born Citizen (not that following basic Constitutional law seems to matter to anyone anymore these days), so he can't possibly run for president as a Constitutional conservative (as a dem maybe, but in either case, he would never get my vote).

Now, Sarah Palin - I'd vote for her again in a heartthrob. :-)

I want to see Levin get on board now. No more friends. Just keep it about the issues.

Sarah talks annoys me to hear it, but seeing a written transcript, she has a lot of sense.

UH, BEL Sarah’s voice annoys you because it’s the same tone mom used to set you straight when you were a little shaver...that’s why that tone annoys a lot of people....you need to grow up now, and work your way around this..wise up ....already.

Palin also told Gibson that she had said "nice things" about Rubio before he "reneged on his promise" on the bill because she thought he was "an honest politician." She remarked, "honest politician" is too often an oxymoron.

‘It’s her high squeaky tones. she could easily change it with vocal coaches but she says, “Nah. This is me. Deal with it.” Gotta love Sarah.’

Sarah’s voice annoys many people because it’s the same tone mom used to set you straight when you were a little shaver...that’s why that tone annoys them...they don’t realize this dynamic is at play and need to grow up. Time FOR THEM to work their way around this frivolity. AND GET OVER IT..

Rubio and Ayotte are Romney-Soros Republicans.

True, it takes some passion to motivate for action but my point was that most people here don’t even bother to go beyond that. And all too often that’s all politicians seem to do is raise peoples emotions with no real action. I’m glad that you took the time to research him and agree with what he has done and his positions and at least have some reason to support him, that far more than most here seem to do. But I’m still curious, just what in his bio do you see that makes him someone you want to support. I’m sure others would like to hear it as well.

Don’t you just love some who get on here and just throw the barbs at Palin? That woman has more balls than ANY of the men she has had to come up against in the last 5 years. When she backed down for a bit, I tryly believe her family was under attack. She retreated to face another day. If you pay attention to her style, she is a true huntress who goes after the target with patience.

Stop taking the woman apart at every chance, she has stayed pretty darn true to conservatism, speaking out when needed. So she had a few misteps with the McCain issue, so what? She was put in a position of having to be loyal at that moment. It probably toughened her resolve for the next time. She won’t do that again! Hell, she has come out AGAINST Rubio, the darling of the Republicans! None of them have done that!

She has also managed to stay relevant, as she still drives the left bat-crazy!

I don’t know if she is the next President or even cares to run. I just want her to stay relevant and give people hope to fight another day.

Ditto on her voice. I too wish she would work to modify it. She’d be more effective.
