That's nothing....Surviving Stalin's purges, now THAT'S an accomplishment.
Being in a dark place and hearing a Klashni safety go klack! as it's moved from the safe position into fire sort of gets my attention right good.
MikTim's father was a victim of one of those Stalinist purges in 1930, deprived of his property and banished to the village of Nizhnyaya Mokhovaya, Tomsk Oblast in Siberia.

Nah I'm just an old treadhead and newspaper [mostly] scribbler, who has seen a few things and been to a coupla county fairs. MikTim is pretty awesome, though. Not really stuck-up about his amazing achievement, but understandably proud, if just a wee bit smug.
