RUSH: I hear you, man. For 25 years I have been asking, "When's all this stuff gonna even out? When are we gonna hit the bottom? When are we gonna reach the point where people say, 'This is enough,' and we start a rebound?" I'm continually surprised that we haven't, that our decay continues apace.

Which people? People comprising Generation X, who were thoroughly brainwashed by their teachers from grade 1 on? Maybe the Millennials who were even more thoroughly brainwashed from kindergarten on? Certainly not the Zs whose brainwashing begins for them practically in the womb and continues 24/7. In my worst pessimistic moments, I'm sure the nation is doomed. And in my most optimistic moments, I am not sure I'm wrong.

I remember being stationed at Ft. Knox when the movie Independance Day was shown at the base theatre, and EVERYONE cheered when the aliens blew up a certain “national landmark”, and I’m not talking about the Empire State Building either.

I know Rush gets the Obama-worshiping media, and refers to them in the phone call. but I don't think he gives the media enough credit for keeping Obama from being associated with this crap. If this were Bush, the commentators on the morning talk shows would be eviscerating him for an economy-killing idea. You will not see one of them say "WTF is he thinking!?" when they report this stuff. It's like the reporters who find "Precious" a credible witness in the Zimmerman trial. They report an entirely different reality.
I am still trying to fathom how any trip like this could cost $100M. This doesn't smell right.
