An openly gay Pennsylvania state lawmaker asked his legislative colleagues Thursday to censure an archconservative colleague who a day earlier had prevented him from making floor remarks about the Supreme Courts gay marriage rulings.
Rep. Brian Sims, D-Philadelphia, asked the chamber to reprimand Rep. Daryl Metcalfe, R-Butler, at the close of session because of an interview Metcalfe gave to explain why he exercised his right to prevent him from speaking on the topic during session.
His comments did not live up to the standards set by this body, Sims said on the floor.

If we’re talking about a typical legislative body in today’s USA, a ringing endorsement of sodomy probably did live up to its highest standards.
Simpering Sims above - he's gay, in case you wouldn't have guessed.
Gays don’t have to live within the rules and laws.
Just look at the SCOTUS imposing their own will over two laws voted on by the people.
What is an archconservative?
When did we go from being tolerant of alternative lifestyles such as homosexuality, to celebrating diversity?
When did it become cool to be gay? Why so schools have gay straight alliance clubs? Why does a school need a club based on sex issues in the first place?
Why has the sitcom with the homosexual best friend become a cliche?
Why are homosexuals in our face so much nowadays?
That's nonsense. Letting a guy talk is not the same as agreeing with what he says. If anything, blocking him from speaking helped his cause much more than letting him speak would have. If he had made his silly little speech about the DOMA case, no one would have noticed. Now, with the help of the MSM, he's thrust into the spotlight, and is getting much more attention than he ever would have.
You got me. The term “arch-liberal” is out there as well.
I tend to agree. He’ll look like he was trodden-upon by the big meanie.
The homos want drama and attention. They’re like little kids in that regard. Watch.. the drama queen will make hay out of this little event..
I never hear anyone called an arch-liberal.
“This is a guy who hates women, he hates gay people, he hates minorities and he hates immigrants,” Sims said.
While what the other representative did is allowed in the rules of order, this statement, above, made by the upset sodomite, is a clear violation of the rules of order.
Thus the other representative has a clear counter claim through a resolution or ethics committee complaint.
A negative term applied to folks like Jesse Helms in the past and Rush Limbaugh in more recent times.
That’s pretty bold for an AP reporter to describe Daryl Metcalfe that way. He’s a Republican who makes a lot of conservative noise as best I know.
Mark Scolforo joined the Associated Press after working at the Daily Record which is becoming more like the old “Gazette and Daily” every day.
What drives Scolforo to resort to the double negative since he probably considers “conservative” to be a negative already?????
Scolforo would never consider his use of the term “archconservative” to be like the press writing of a previous era in our country when someone might be described in the newspaper as a “colored boy” among other things.
Nancy got his panties in a wad, did he?
Tough.
why dont you hit him with your purse tinkerbell?
