Boehner wont move an immigration-reform bill that lacks significant Republican support.
By Robert Costa
Nearly every morning, Speaker John Boehner wakes at dawn at his Capitol Hill home, puts on khaki shorts and a golf shirt, and takes a brief walk to a greasy spoon called Petes Diner. He travels alone, except for his security detail, and he sits at the counter, which is often crowded with police officers and college students. The Chinese family who run the place know him as John just another customer and early riser. Over coffee and eggs, he reads his iPad and cracks jokes with the short-order cooks. Most days, like clockwork, hes out of there by 6:30 a.m., on his way either to Mass or to work.

Sounds like Kevin Spacey in the House of Cards when he hits the rib joint.
Kinda humanizes the guy. Instead of the hard-drinking, all-night party-boy, exquisitely tailored, multi-millionaire back-room back-stabbing compromise artist with one hand in Obama's shorts and the other around the throats of Republican reps, he comes off as plain ole nice guy "John from Ohio," on his way to daily Mass, no less.
Wow! Sure changed my mind about him a lot! And here I thought this was the POS who threw away the Tea Party Victory and helped Obama lead this country further down the path to Socialism.
Sure hope he's around for the Bush-Rubio 2016 ticket. That will be sure to push them over the top. Waddaguy!
Well, I hope "John" understands that he has the Dems by short hairs by NOT bringing any immigration bill to the floor of the House of representative, ever. I hope he knows that he can pull these short hairs by offering bills that counter the Liberal agenda and faintly alluding to "discussions" on immigration.
You’re onto something. The article is kind of vague in that it doesn’t clarify whether he will just oppose a bill, or try to round up republican support for it, then pass it.
I’m guessing the latter, for the reasons you state.
