Paula Deen's upcoming book nixed by publisher

Paula Deen's upcoming cookbook, currently the No. 1 seller on Amazon.com, has been dropped by its publisher.

In a brief statement Friday, Ballantine Books announced it had canceled publication of "Paula Deen's New Testament: 250 Favorite Recipes, All Lightened Up." The book was scheduled for October.

My Mom’s first comment after hearing about Deen being dropped from The Food Network was “Blacks have a lot of power” no one even mentions the racial slur she said about Jews, I dont even know what the comment was since no one discusses it, just that it was in her deposition..but no one discusses it because it was about Jews, but say the N word and your done..say something nasty about Jews and not a peep..meanwhile Alec Baldwin goes on a twitter rant trashing Homos and GLAAD comes to his defense, imagine if Baldwin were a Republican I wonder if GLAAD had come to his defense then

The cowering to PC has totally taken over the country. It would be so refreshing if someone stood up and said how totally pointless this is. I don’t care for Paula Deen either but to persecute her for using a word that every black person uses every day is utterly bizarre.

Ballantine is owned by Bertelsmann, a German media conglomerate. Given its Nazi connections, it’s unsurprising that it’s shying away from Deen.

.... In a nation founded upon such things as "Freedom of Speech" you would think that some patriotic lawyer would rise from his or her slumber and look at what is happening here. And in an effort make a loud and legal statement to this country of freedom and say ... "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!"

.... What has been done to anybody who is "Non Ethnic" .... in America is actually pure censorship of speech and blatant prejudism against "Cracker Americans."

Folks .... There needs to be some kind of blow back against all of this insanity. One section of society is allowed to use whatever vulgar inflammatory statement or word they want and claim that it is a "Part of THEIR culture" and that it is thus acceptable to use to verbally vomit their diatribe in whatever manner they see fit. They (Non Crackers) say that .... "Cracker just don't understand what it is to be .. (Fill in any Non-Cracker ethnicity here)

..... on the other hand ... CRACKER AMERICA must watch, and be mindful of, every word .... every phrase that is said or even uttered during their entire lifetime .... in fear that .... the other "Non CRACKER Americans" might take offense at it. Heck ... it is considered ... racist to even look at any Non Cracker in any objectionable way. This kind of behavior has to stop. Doesn't anybody ever stop to think that if something is offensive that is done by a Non Cracker American and is therefore actionable because of racism .... then shouldn't a similar action perpetrated by said ... Non Cracker also be actionable if it is perpetrated upon Mr. or Ms Cracker? Perhaps there needs to be another Civil Liberties Union founded to handle Civil Liberties violations against "Cracker Americans" to help create some kind of balance of power in this country and the universe. Why should the NCACLU (Non Cracker Civil Liberties Union) have a monopoly on the defense of civil liberties? ... And how the heck did that happen in the first place anyways?

It is evident that "Cracker Americans" have actually allowed the unequal balance in society to take place .... simply by inaction while at the same time resorting to mere defensive positioning when actions are filed against them. Why not take the stance of offense for a change. It's time to start fighting back!

... In short ... what is good for Cracker is also good for the Non Cracker.

IIRC, Deen commented in an interview about the Wookie on her show, how she'd never seen anyone put it away like that and how she even kept eating during the commercials.

Miz all healthy and skinny prolly got her own svelte self all incensed over the comment (as if we had no clue to her dining habits), and ordered the media hit.

I’m not buying any books in any of the local bookstores, published by Ballantine Books. (Sorry bookstores, but this is bigger than you are.)
I would also suggest that any aspiring writers, or authors, considering doing any business with Ballantine Books, cease and desist, if you are an American, and not just, as Mickey Spillane said, “a writer that would write about anything to make a buck”.

The Dean destruction and the Zimmerman trial are meant to distract people from what is really going on in this nation and the world. Plus they support the left’s point of view that white people are constantly seeking to put down blacks and must be punished for real and imagined sins. When Paula Dean is publicly humiliated and destroyed, the black community cheers and feels their man Obama is doing his job. Once she is gone they’ll did up another rich white person or Republican politician to destroy based on something said in the past.

While the media is spinning about Dean and Zimmerman, Benghazi goes out of the headlines and the cram down of amnesty is not central in the average voter’s mind. The average citizen is distracted from the arming Syrian rebels, the meltdown in Egypt, the increasing aggressiveness of China and Russia, Iran getting nuclear weapons, the dismal state of the economy, the infiltration of the American government by radical Islamists, the disaster of Obamacare, or the increasing tyranny of the federal government.

Plus, if Michelle really was offended by something Dean said, the destruction of Dean is a message to anyone in the elite establishment who might choose to cross the first family. The implosion of Paula Dean shows how quick the rich and famous can be brought down if the powers behind the curtain decide to bring them down.

My spidey sense tells me that the $PLC (Southern Poverty Law Center) had something to do with this. Who do the $PLC hate above all others? White Southern Christians.

Maybe the $PLC set her up because; 1) they are very mean, 2) they hate the South, 3) they love kicking up dirt and last but not least—they love to make lots of money from kicking up the dirt. Paula Deen has lots of money—go after her. Lots of demonization of those White Southern Christians which brings in lots more contributions from the demented liberals.

I think the $PLC is involved in a set up of Paula Deen. Don’t you think that it is very odd that she was asked if she had ever used the N word in her life? How was that relevant to the charges brought against her by the disgruntled employee? I can see how whe would we asked if she ever called an employee or customer that, but not have you ever used the N word in your entire life. What is this confession? This was a fishing expedition to make her look bad so that she could be sued.

Follow the money, I’ll bet the employee’s lawyers are somehow connected to the $PLC.

Trial lawyers are usually Democrats, so they are usually connected to other Democrats. And Deen's name turns up on the SPLC websites.

But lawyers don't need anybody to point them in the direction of a lot of money, or some conspiratorial or ideological motivation. Money is usually enough.
