The CNN scroll isn’t really counter to the testimony. It’s either a typo or a misunderstaning of the testimony.

The testimony at that point wasn’t about skin color, it was about what the two were wearing. It should have read that the lighter CLOTHED person was on top, which would have been accurate.

Still something CNN should acknowlege, correct and apologize for.

One line if testimony was lighter skinned person was on the ground, darker skinned person on top.

No there was indeed explicit mention of at least relative skin color:

“John Good testified he saw a man in dark clothing on top of a man who was wearing red or light-colored clothing with lighter skin.”
