I totally agree with you. The more I think about it, the more clear it becomes that anything and everything that happened before Martin started beating on Zimmerman is irrelevant to this case. Zimmerman was getting beaten to death and he had the right to protect himself with deadly force. Period!!!

Let’s assume that Zimmerman was being an ass and an over-bearing ‘know-it-all-in-your-face-cop-want-to-be neighborhood Watch guy.’ Let’s even assume Zimmerman talked down to Trayvon in offensive language....just for the sake of argument. Heck, we can even assume Zimmerman was a racist.....just throw it all in there because none of it matters.

What matters was that Trayvon Martin had no right to take Zimmermans life and therefore Zimmerman had every right to defend himself against the lethal attack.

The defenses problem in all of this is that it was Zimmermans actions that started the entire situation going. There is no doubt about this and it plays very well politically and emotionally and might be what sways the jury. Still, take away the race element, and what are you left with?....a guy defending his life against another guy who was hell bent on taking it from him. Case closed.

I you have not seen it, please look at this Zimmerman Reenactment.mpeg and tell which of Zimmerman's actions "started the entire situation."

So, skulking around close to homes after dark played no part? Not going straight back to the home he was staying in and waiting for the Creepy Ass Cracker to catch up to him played no part?

I don’t see your point that Zimmerman started it. Martin was wandering around looking at houses, very likely to rob. (It would be interesting to know if the rash of burgerlies stopped or went down after Martin bit the dust, btw.) From what I’ve read, Martin already didn’t like Zimmerman and was possibly looking around wanting to beat the crap out of him. The entire thing was 100% Martin’s doing and fault. If Martin was looking for Z-man to inflict harm, as I suspect was the case; then sooner or later he would have found Z-man - if not that night, another night.

You need to read up on self defense law. Who started what is irrelevant. You’ve been duped.
