The other problem is even if a majority of Repubs, non-voting conservatives and independents switch to a truly conservative party, the remaining “moderate” , RINO, and liberal Republicans will steal off enough of the vote to give the Dems a win every time.

Marketing. This is going to be hard work. That's our biggest problem. The system has worked pretty well for us for a very long time with a minimum of effort. We think, "Everything will be OK, with or without my effort, because it always has before."

But no longer is that true. The machine is seriously broken, and we have to fix it. We do that by building coalitions with people who may not be like us in every respect, but who can be shown, with enough thought and effort, that our product is better for them and their interests than what the dems are selling.

Besides, there's no such thing as an unsolvable problem. If we give it our absolute best shot and it doesn't work out right away, God is still in control and has His reasons for delaying our discovery of the solution. But if God helps us, there is no puzzle we cannot solve. Either way, it's all good, and we should proceed in confidence that GOOD WILL ULTIMATELY PREVAIL.

I agree with all of your points.

But as a former exec. of a national marketing firm, when have conservatives ever excelled at marketing? Richard Vigueri (sp?) and a few others perhaps.

It could be that the single greatest failure of conservatives outside of their voting cave-in’s (Rubio, et al being the latest example) is in the area of marketing and sales (yes, they are completely different). We rarely succeed in getting the message out and communicated. The Tea Party did it in ‘10, but that was grass roots more than anything. The Dems and libs outmarket and out-sell us 10 to 1. They are the ones who use good marketing and sales - AND technology. We need to do even better than they are.

I’d love to be encouraged to see a change in that arena, as you are correct - it will take a massive sea change. I can’t see it.

Reagan ruled simply because he first believed in his heart what we believe, and secondly because he could communicate it convincingly. But as good as Sarah is, she’s no Reagan.

Yes, all things are possible with God. All things. But He doesn’t usually come to the aid of those who have abandoned Him - and it appears to me that many conservatives fall in that category.

No question....what we need is a huge miracle.

And yes, I’m praying for one.......
