Yeah, but ever notice that the media always show pictures of him as an angelic child? Never the thug-wannabe pictures, though the exist, are rarely seen on Prime time.
The fact is that bringing this case to trial and taking two years out of Mr. Z’s life for it is already a gross miscarriage of justice.

This summary had great appeal to many of my fellow liberals for whom it confirmed their worst fears about firearms, the malignant endurance of racism and the cheapness with which law enforcement regards African-American lives.
I felt it too. But they've clung to this narrative long after the emerging facts have shown that the actual story is, at best, far more complex and murky than the first news stories and protest chants had suggested.
Martin wasn't the slight middle-school student seen in first photos of him made public, but a tall, athletic 17-year-old who'd had plenty of time to walk safely home once he knew he was being followed.
Sympathetic victim? I thought he meant Zimmerman. Oh well.
The question is "what does Obama have planned in response to acquittal?"
The professional agitators are using this event for a purpose...probably because the case against Zimmerman was weak and likely to lose. This is a trigger.
Writing for a Chicago paper put real restraints on this writer. You knew he wanted to just say, “the evidence is pointing strongly toward Zimmerman’s version of the story”, but he didn’t have the courage to say it.
So, he hid it between the lines.
As if fearful of his job, the writer engages in liberal handwringing, avoiding what he clearly sees as the unequivocal reality: Zimmerman should be acquitted.

Just the spin comin’ out to make sure the riots and burning will make it a hot time summer in the city when Zimmerman is acquitted. And since most low information types don’t realize the Trayvon image they’ve been told about is a total fabrication, it’ll work.
One of the posts on Conservative Treehouse suggests that Trayvon's parents divorced when he was young, but until fairly recently he'd been raised by his father and stepmother, whom the post suggests were decent people. When the father and stepmother divorced, Trayvon went back to live with his mother. I don't know what the cause and effect relationship exists between Trayvon's return to his mother and his getting into trouble, but does seem that Trayvon may have been a decent kid at one point. It would be ironic, but not necessarily surprising, if one of the person clamoring most louding for "justice" (and money) was, of all persons still living, the one most responsible for his demise.
Miscarriage? More like a Gosnell back room abortion.
Sympathetic as viewed from afar via the mass media’s projections, I believe is what is meant here.
If even the Chicago Tribune sees a potential problem here, it has to be bad.
Fortunately, the fellow who testified of Zimmerman being on the bottom will likely, at least, hang the jury if not be the factor to clear Zimmerman.

I’ve encountered enough Trayvons in my life to use up any sympathy I might have for him. I look at his death as a type of suicide, in as much as he set out on that path long before Zimmerman had to shoot him.
I think that is a fair description if one goes by the Media creation 'Traydmark Martin - the 12 year old kid (or was it 8 year old?) who was attacked and murdered by the KKK Grand Wizard, White Hispanic, George Zimmerman.
Of course if you go with the 18 year old high school truant, knockout king, gangster wannabe Trayvon ... then maybe not so sympathetic.
