"By a unanimous secret decision by this secret panel of secret judges, we secretly object to being portrayed as collaborators with tyranny and voyeuristic surveillance perversity. Therefore we secretly order that the voyeuristic surveillance perverts gather secret information that the tyrants can use to secretly indefinitely detain those who say bad things about us."

Well Judge, the founding fathers would of taken a dim view of your issuing “writs of assistance”.

Hopefully soon you will be prosecuted for your crimes.

Mostly right on. We actually have an exception to that in Texas, Louie Gohmert.

Senators and Representatives routinely rubber stamp NSA requests for billions more without much examinations. The judges do the same. Everyone is afraid of going against the NSA as it blows billions building a bureaucratic empire to surveil average Americans in this proto-1984 scenario

LOL! And also kind of not laughing as it is so grimly true.

>>she is seen as collaborating with government and then where does she go? The Washington Post<<

Where did you expect her to go? The NYT?

What's worse than a kangaroo court? A kangaroo puppet court.

A few years ago I read an article that the FISA court had rejected a total of one surveillance request. One of those tippy birds does less nodding than the FISA court.

When they become nothing more than a rubber stamp and fail to see how even they can be hung for nothing more than overdue books as a kid, I’d be a little bewildered to.

That’s what I mean. We do not have any national media that we can consider unbiased anymore.

RE: "The lat link is also to a Washington Post article that seems not to be available now....how surprising....

Sure is a rather accusatory title to the missing article.
As for the spying on the EU. I'm hardly surprised.
