BEIJING - Chinese state media blamed Syrian government and opposition forces on Monday, in unusually specific finger pointing, for training Muslim extremists responsible for the deadliest unrest in four years in China's far-western region of Xinjiang.
China has traditionally blamed violence in Xinjiang, home to the Turkic-speaking Muslim Uighur people, on Islamic separatists who want to establish an independent state of "East Turkestan".
This appears to mark the first time Beijing has blamed Syria and fits a common narrative of the government portraying Xinjiang's violence as coming from abroad, such as Pakistan, and not due to homegrown anger.
Many Muslim Uighurs in Xinjiang resent what they call Chinese government restrictions on their culture, language and religion. Beijing accuses extremists of separatism.

Maybe Barry is overreaching at last by trying to start an “Arab Spring” in China through Syria. I read that many Africans blame Obama for the uptick in jihadi attacks n Africa because his destruction of the Libyan government and empowerment (not to mention arming) of the AQ forces there has allowed AQ free access to the African continent, stirring up and reinforcing local jihadi groups.
I don’t think the Chinese are going to take this quietly, however, and Barry should remember that they have a lot more military power than the Africans.
That’s why people are saying that Obama is the real leader of Al Qaeda, since he’s their sugar daddy.

Chinese have just started their mockery of Islam. In Beijing, I get a home page of Chinese news in the Chinese language. They show a photo of a Uighur Muslim bowing down on his prayer rug, while a goat tries f*** him in the ass.
