an American agency and social worker had to do a background check and write a home study approving this woman to adopt children. Cant blame the Russians here, if the social workers lie. That’s why the Chinese stopped single parent adoptions, Americans would lie when they had to deny they were homo’s and the social workers would lie for them too
My God when we were investigated us as adopters they even checked the temperature of my refrigerator, and we had to write and post a fire escape plan from our home!! The vet had to write a report on our dog!
Funny story. Best friend adopted a couple of great kids a few years back. The Gov't wonk came out to inspect his house. The Wonk stopped the whole process cold, when he found out the kid's 2nd story bedroom window only opened 19 inches, and needed to open 20. Kids "couldn't get out, in case of fire". No fire ladder was required, the window just needed to open the correct distance.
Did I mention that the house was an A-Frame, and exiting the window in question would mean a 30+ foot drop, to a concrete patio?
So....my friend, having put up with a ridiculous amount of nonesense like this already and having hit the end of his rope, found out how humorless this bureaucrat was when he asked..."So....having a window that can only open 19 inches is NOT acceptable, but letting the kids fall 30 feet to their death is perfectly fine?"
Yep. Bureaucratic idiots are not known for their sense of humor.
Fortunately, my friend put in a fire ladder (which he was planning to do, anyway) and had the local volunteer fire chief come out, inspect his property, and declare it "OK". The right box was checked on the correct form, and the problem was solved.
It's funny now, but at the time, with an adoption a couple of years in the making on the line, it certainly wasn't. Gov't is never your friend.
wow, I have no idea how this woman did it but for she went over, went into a room and chose a boy and a girl.
Last I heard was that they were both suicidal and though in a private school, yea go figure so much for diversity when it’s all black a few miles down the road they are having problems in school.
