Probably will get flamed for this but I don’t see an issue with canceling the fireworks if it comes with/after other cuts. We are broke and if it is between this and military readiness, the fireworks go. All that being said, I think there are way more important cuts than these.

And don't forget furloughs a Dept of Defense workforce that is composed of 45% military veterans. Sequestration, Obama, Boehner, and Hagel can rejoice that military veterans (whom the DC crowd pays lip service towards helping) are taking the harshest blow of these cuts - a 20% pay cut while Obama takes $100 Million African safaris and gives away $7 Billion to dictators, and Hagel announces “same sex” benefits to homosexual perverts sexual bedroom playthings. Even disabled veterans with Purple Hearts are being furloughed by DoD, yet no one cares or gives a damn. Even the doctors and nurses at Walter Reed are being furloughed. Shame on these people!
