Ah yes, that alleged Turkish economic growth again, which is also always cited when feckless politcos are pushing their agenda for a Turkish accession to the EU.

Columnist David Goldman (aka Spengler) has written a number of articles that show that this "growth" is little else than a huge, state-sponsored credit bubble, soon to crash and burn. E.g.:
