Even though postponing the employer mandate to Jan 1, 2015 vice Jan 1, 2014 will mitigate some of the political fallout, I would assume businesses will be well into their Obamacare strategy during the period leading up to the November 2014 midterms. They will have to deal with the mandate less than two months after the midterms.

Congress gives the Office of the President a huge operating budget. He can waste it as he deems appropriate, unfortunately.

They know there will be mass layoffs and they don’t want those to occur BEFORE the election.

For those of us self employed, or retired, we get no 1 year break.

Not far from where I grew up, there is a three lane highway where the speed limit for a decent stretch is 35 mph. Yeah, not a typo, 35. It's not enforced by the state police at all. They won't pull you over for doing 55, but don't push it to 70, that's too far.

My point is this: If the administration isn't going to enforce the law, why should we obay it?
