The Obama administration announced Tuesday afternoon that it was going to delay an important part of the Affordable Care Act for one year. The rule requiring employers with at least 50 full-time workers to provide them with coverage or pay a penalty (also known as the employer mandate) will now be enforced starting in 2015, not 2014 as originally planned.

As originally passed in 2010, Obamacare was written so that its most harmful parts would not take effect until after the 2012 election. Now Obama is delaying some of the most harmful parts until after the 2014 election. And Obama is doing this illegally - without the approval of Congress.

If obamma can postpone this for one year, why can’t it be postponed 10 years, 50 years, or 1,000 years.

The bill is the law. I don’t see how Obama can change this without congress having a say.
I would rather it be forced on the American people before the next election. We might have fewer liberal idiots get elected.

Good point..the problem is it will be 10, 50, or 1000 years before the next Conservative is elected President...

Congress should cut the funding of any program not implemented by 2014.

My thoughts, precisely.
Where does the (alleged) Executive Branch have such authority?

Interesting. He gets credit for passing Healthcare. Delaying implementation will allow him to get more done b4 the public wises up. Brilliant.

Maybe CONgress was in recess again!
He will inform congress of when they are, or not in session.

Is this delay authorized by the law? I would ask Congress, but they don't even pretend to read what they pass anymore.
If this isn't allowed, will any of the Republicans sue to force Obamacare to go into effect in 2014? It would be like shoving a stalled car back onto the railroad tracks in an attempt to force the train to stop entirely. A very, very dangerous game to play, but maybe the only way to start slicing apart Obamacare.

THAT’S IT!
Boehner needs to stop this, or he needs to be thrown out. Obama CANNOT delay the law from the original rollout date.
It is going to happen, and it is going to crash and burn with this Kenyan Marxist’s legacy.

They can simply refuse to fund any parts of the law not implemented on the agreed timeline.
To: grundle
They have to postpone the law to find out what’s in it.

He’s not rewriting the law. He is just not going to “enforce” the law until 2015.
You know...like DOMA and immigration laws. Obama gets to pick and choose which laws he likes

How do we know that early next year they won't move the implementation date back into 2013?
They are completely lawless now.
