Group Says Pepsi Still Contains Carcinogen

NEW YORK (AP) — An environmental group said Wednesday that the caramel coloring used in Pepsi still contains a worrisome level of a carcinogen, even after the drink maker said it would change its formula.

In March, PepsiCo Inc. and Coca-Cola Co. both said they would adjust their formulas nationally after California passed a law mandating drinks containing a certain level of carcinogens come with a cancer warning label. The changes were made for drinks sold in California when the law passed.

The chemical is 4-methylimidazole, or 4-Mel, which can form during the cooking process and, as a result, may be found in trace amounts in many foods.

Watchdog group The Center for Environmental Health found via testing that while Coke products no longer test positive for the chemical, Pepsi products sold outside of California still do.

Lemmee look in their 'fridge ... THEN I'll get back to you on this.

Until then ... butter, eggs, peanut butter, red meat, mustard and relish, potato chips and a TON of et cetera's.

Looks like I'll have to stop cooking with Coke and Pepsi . . .

Trying hard to remember the last time that I did . . .

I’m not so worried about the carcinogens as the baby fetus stem cells in the flavoring. The sight of the stuff makes me nauseous.

Coke is also one of my portfolio assets. At least, I don’t have any homo-supporting stock like General Mills or Gap.

You know what? If you zoom in close enough, even tap water probably contains carcinogens of some composition, if taken in humongous , over the top amounts. I knew of a mentally ill man who died from swigging so much water repeatedly, than his salt reserves were diluted. All the staff were shocked, but that is not normal intake. We needn’t be ‘afraid’ of an ocassional soda pop. Eat, drink, be merry in moderation.

I swear to God that the first time I read that headline, I read it as:

“Group Says Pelosi Still Contains Carcinogen”

Of course, I think that would have made for a more interesting article.

I am trying to be sort of sarcastic here

Obama and his libtard followers go insane about carbon dioxide from any industry they don’t like, but let Coke and Pepsi actually ADD IT TO THEIR PRODUCT!!!

I guess they like BIG COLA’s donations too much

Tobacco companies used to be HUGE Republican donors. If they were huge democrap donors I bet we would hear about nothing but the healthful benefits of bathing your lungs in cleansing smoke.
