In televised trials, it is usually the defense attorneys who resort to hyperbole and bluster. But in George Zimmerman’s case, it is the prosecutors. They have no facts, so they are shamefully pounding on the table. “George Zimmerman did not shoot Trayvon Martin because he had to,” said prosecutor John Guy in his opening presentation. “He shot him for the worst of all reasons — because he wanted to.”
Nothing even remotely approaching proof has substantiated this claim, which looks, as each day of the trial passes, more and more like a despicable lie, probably worthy of a disbarment or two in the Seminole County prosecutor’s office.
Only in a sloppy, politically correct culture, where evidentiary standards are routinely blurred in the name of this or that liberationist goal, could this case have been brought. Media commentators in the tank for the prosecution praised Guy for his “concise” opener, failing to acknowledge why it was short: he’s got very little to work with. Guy spent most of his time fuming over what Zimmerman had said in the infamous 911 call, as if the quality of Zimmerman’s thoughts about “f—king punks” is the subject of the trial and itself worthy of punishment for decades in prison.

When the prosecution witnesses make the case for the defense whats wrong with that picture?
Thankfully, their case is so utterly weak I don't even think enough people will be "outraged" to muster up a sizable riot after the acquittal.
A few broken windows on a Florida bank or Starbucks, two disorderly arrests, game over. And the sharptonistas will move on to the next great injustice.
Or, as a case about nothing, it’s a Seinfeld episode.
Seriously, a guilty verdict in this case and our justice system has become little better than the Volksgerichtshof, Judge Friesler presiding.
Of course the man is innocent. Had Zimmermann been black the charges never would have been brought. He’s been indicted and judges have moved the case forward. So, just as the OJ case proved, as other notorious cases, it will be up to the jury, and God only knows how that will turn out.
I will bet dollars to doughnuts that if Zim gets on the stand the prosecution will ask him if he has EVER used the N-word. It will be a Mark Fuhman/Paula Dean character assassination extravaganza. If he says yes he is branded a racist out to lynch an innocent minority yoot. If he says no there is probably a witness from 10 years ago to testify that he did. Its the ultimate GOTCHA question in these race driven kangaroo court cases.
There is no evidence, none, noda, Nil, zero, that Zimmerman committed manslaughter, much less second-degree murder, or that he acted otherwise than in self defense.
There is much evidence however of Nathan Bedford's first Maxim of American politics: all politics in America is not local but ultimately racial.
The easiest argument to rebut. If Z wanted to shoot St. Trayvon, why did he wait until he had his nose broken and was having his head pounded upon the pavement to use his firearm?
