5. The White House is like a "really nice prison." That would mean that the First Lady failed to make parole in November 2012. Ms. Obama made that complaint at the African First Ladies Summit in Tanzania, among fellow inmates, some from countries where the opposition occupies really nasty prisons.
4. Our student loans were "higher than our mortgage." That complaint, at the 2012 Democratic National Convention, sounds awful, except that both of the Obamas went to Harvard Law School, one of the most elite and expensive schools in the country. Many young people today would love to have a mortgage.
3. I "feel like a visitor" at Princeton. Ms. Obama wrote her undergraduate thesis about the conundrum of black identity on an Ivy League campus, despite the "liberal and open-minded" attitude of some students and professors. An interesting topic, but not what most people would regard as a serious grievance.
2. Law clients like Barney and Coors not interesting enough. As a second-year associate at the prestigious Sidley Austin law firm, Ms. Obama asked for more interesting work--and received it, but working on major cases involving public television simply was not good enough to suit her ambitions.

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
The author forgot, “Barack is all smelly and snorey” when he wakes up in the morning. That was her complaint during the first campaign.
Looks like she STILL isn’t proud to be an American, to me anyway.
0. Being a beard sucks.
I WORKED my way through 8 years of college and my wife through 4 without any student loan and without going into debt.
When my wife and I finished college, we had NO DEBT.
Sure. We had no money to spend, cooked on a hotplate, slept on exposed springs supported by concrete blocks--no movies, no restaurants, no TV--nothing but hard work.
I was a millionaire at age 40, multimillionaire at 43. And I am economically VERY CONSERVATIVE.
My advice for financial success:
Work hard. Blame yourself and no one else for your failures. Credit yourself with your triumphs. Be ruthlessly honest with yourself. Always live within your means. Never go into debt. Marry only once.
Has she complained about being the ultimate grifter...stealing every day from taxpayers? I’d like to see her complaining about how dark her solitary cell is in a Fed Supermax.
This is obviously a woman who feels she has to be someone else to make a good impression on the public, and she hates it. Being a fraud can feel a bit like being in prison, especially if there is a real you eager to get out.
That's what America has always been.
It's the struggle that's made the USA the greatest, richest, most powerful, and must just nation in history.
The one thing that sticks in my mind is seeing the first lady on video say, “All this for a d*** flag”. Whatever she does or says, to me, will be in contrast to this statement.
Barack is all smelly and snorey when he wakes up in the morning. - He smells like Reggie Love.
She complains because she hates America. She pretends she was discriminated against while she was growing up but in reality she was born with a silver spoon in her mouth and was given the best of everything. She was outside the American experience because she is a bitter, hateful woman.
But...but...that’s TOO HARD!!! (Everything you say I agree with! So many Poor things today have no comprehension of the value of hard work.)
Could you have become wealthy without your 8 years of college?
Everything this woman does screams that she has no joy in her heart. What a terrible, terrible way to live. I don’t envy her wealth, power or fame; I pity her.
In retrospect, it was like an 8-year Outward Bound experience. Eventually I acquired all those things--and more! As an added boon: my wife and I stayed out of the sun because we were working hard indoors throughout the summers, while rich family and friends were luxuriating at the beach, but now we both look years younger and have avoided the high risks associated with sun exposure.
I could not have because I could not see any other path to it.
However, now--in retrospect--I can see many paths that I could have taken.
VRW Conspirator ~:” The one thing that sticks in my mind is seeing the first lady on video say, All this for a d*** flag. “
Yup ! That’s my most remarkable remembered statement made by the FLOTUS too !
It set the tone by which I would consider any of her future statements .
May I ask you what you studied in college?
