He’s quite wrong on a basic fact of the case: The “stand your ground” law is totally irrelevant. The defense will not use it. They will use the more fundamental law of self defense. Not the same thing.
I see that the author is writing to the audience that has only seen the angelic 12-year-old-Trayvon pictures. Keep reinforcing that he was just a little kid afraid of dirty old man strangers. In fact, the author himself puts the lie to it when he said TM would've whipped GZ if not for the gun. Trayvon didn't see a pedophile waiting to prey on him, he saw a "cracker."
I have not seen or heard all the evidence, so I don't know whether Zim's guilty and of what, but it is so tiring to read nonsense like this.
Believe me, I could post a dozen of these for every one that I do. Common as sand on a seashore.
What remains a mystery to me is how a mere tenth of the population thinks it can make demands on the rest of society. How does that work? Especially when the 70-80% they believe are cowed are armed to the teeth with rifles, pistols and shotguns and trillions of rounds of ammunition. Someone please explain all this to me.
When your head and nose are busted, and a thug is pounding away on you, there isn’t a lot of time for a philosophical debate about whether or not necessary self defense fulfills the letter of the law. Kill the sucker before he kills you. Trayvon had every opportunity to go home, and he chose to go polar bear hunting. That bad, militant decision is responsible for his death.
If as all the evidence I have seen and heard bears out that Martin was shot by Zimmerman in self defense then Zimmerman must go free. Doesn’t matter if the kid’s skin was black or pinkl polka dots.........
While being STUPID does not get you legally arrested it can get you legally killed..........
