U.S. job growth accelerated in June thanks to a big jump in hospitality and service workers, according to a report that is likely to trigger more debate about how aggressively the Federal Reserve will begin pulling back on monetary easing.

-snip-

Moreover, the quality of jobs was weak.

The bulk of the gains—75,000—came in the hospitality industry of bartending and waiters.

Biggest job increases: Bartenders and Waiters!

How many of those are from having their work dropped to 28 house per week so the employer has to hire more people to cover the same shifts?

We no longer speak of “Mcjobs” or “burger flippers”. Nowadays, we’re booming with high quality jobs that are highly dependent on tips. Yee-Haa!

GayBC left the little nugget about waitresses & bartenders out of their celebratory report.

Whoa! Remember when all the MSM talked about was how the only jobs being created under Republicans were menial, part-time service jobs? Now that this is actually true under King Obayme, it’s reason to celebrate. I can’t stand these lying hypocrites.

I have no problem with jobs in hospitality. Here’s what I have problems with:

Acceptance of 7.6 percent unemployment because the liberal elite has a different standard to evaluate the performance of a black President than a white President, whether Republican or Democrat.

Also, the pathetic media just relays the release. It doesn’t look into the facts for itself. The U-6 measure of unemployment (which include part-time workers who prefer full-time, and also what are called ‘discouraged’ workers) jumped from 13.8 to 14.3 percent.

This perhaps reflects job-splitting due to Obamacare, but whatever the reason, this number of Americans who would want to support themselves and their families through work is increasing, not falling, and it’s been way too high for way too long.

I wonder how the BLS counts a person who works 2-29 hr. jobs?

My guess is whichever way makes the Regime look better.

The very ugly truth about this employment number is that 350,000 workers became “part time workers.” Since Obama took office, only 172,000 full time jobs have been created or 1/10th of one percent, while part time jobs have increased 6%. No wonder incomes have gone down.

And these dismal numbers are responsible for his hasty postponement of the employer mandate of ObamaCare until after next year’s election. As always with this power-hungry czar, the only thing that matters is his holding on to the Democrat Senate and trying to get the House, thus keeping his socialism moving along.

Yep, now that we all have accepted the new normal, gas prices above $3.75 are normal. So if the price drops to $3.40 we all celebrate. $4.00 gallons of milk? normal. $5.99 a lb for hamburger meat? What a deal!!! This ‘president’ has been in charge of the most consistently high unemployment rate and it is party time when it dips to 7.6% from part-time job creation? Amazing the power of a corrupt media.
