DWI is not a national security problem. It is a hysteria or prohibitionist problem.

Those problems should not bleed over onto the general public who don't have those afflictions or mental issues.

You are obsessed.

I tried to help you out, but you won't accept it.

National Security, Noun, a collective term for the defense and foreign relations of a country. DWI has absolutely nothing to do with National Security except in the context of a Security Clearance. In that context a DWI can get your clearance level downgraded.

I presume the “hysteria” you are referring to is the concern over driving under the influence. It is not hysteria it is widespread concern over the growing accidents and deaths caused by impaired driving. The prohibitionist is a potentially correct label. I am against anyone abusing the privilege of driving and the privilege of drinking. Both are regulated privileges and adults should be mature enough not to abuse either and certainly not both at the same time.

You are correct that the “general public who don't have those afflictions or mental issues” need to be protected from the minority that do. Your rights end where mine begin.

Now you have taken enough of my valuable time. Grow up.

Driving is a right, not a privilege.

Wars were fought over being able to peaceably travel from place to place without being interfered with by government agents.

Drinking is not a regulated privilege. It has been happening since before there was some statist available to regulate it.

You grow up.

You are correct, driving is a right according to the UN declaration of human rights, article 13.

Driving on public roads however in the United States is a privilege granted to you by the government that built the roads. Don't believe it? Try using the rights defense in a court of law. It has failed every time it has been tried.

You want to build a road on your own land, do whatever the hell you want on it. Drive drunk with no license and no insurance at 180 miles in hour in a car with no seatbelt I could give a damn. Once again, your rights end where my rights begin.
