Camp was a joy for all Kathy. I spent the day Monday before last and then pulled the night shifts the rest of the week which is why I missed Canteen last week. 12 kids were saved in the course of the week and the only complaints came from us old counselors because of arthritic hands and aching backs ‘n’ feet, but even those were overwhelmed by the joy of kids laughing, playing and praying. Late night hikes to pray on a mountain top as the fog rolled in, a Snipe hunt (lol), water balloon battles at dawn, swimming in the pool and sister Darlenna’s good cookin’ and vespers in the Chapel ... In a word, it was awesome.
WOW! You all really provided the kids a meaningful time as well as a lot of fun. Good job to all!!!
Kids have boundless energy! LOL! They go til they drop. And you got to help one of them. d:o)
I remember the snipe hunts from years and years and years ago.
