Florida State's Attorney Angela Corey has been indicted by a citizens' grand jury, convening in Ocala, Florida, over the alleged falsification of the arrest warrant and complaint that lead to George Zimmerman being charged with the second degree murder of African-American teenager Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Florida.

It is very unfortunate to seee your ridicule of the notion of the citizen’s grand jury. It is in fact one of the most important safeguards in self government used to resist tyrannical government. Apathetic citizens have allowed this power to be stolen from them since the late 19th Century. Previously and when the U.S. Constitution was enacted, Citizens had the power to remove corrupt government officials from office and punish criminals who had the protection of government officials by bringing an indictment through the grand jury system. This power was curtailed and subsequently removed by the class of politicians and lawyers seeking to consoliate effective political power in their own few hands. This erosion of the public safeguards were then extended with the dismantling of the public militias, the elimination of the State powers to appoint andd remove U.S. Seenators, and the unilateral creation of the staning doctrine by a renegade SCOTUS and judiciary monopolized by lawyers and their exclusive bar associations. Gone are the prwers enjoyed by U.S. Citizens prior to these usurpations of self government.

The Citizen's United Nations vote on this was 5 to 1. The sole negative vote was from Emmett, who wanted to give Liechtenstein the entire continent.
And why Liechtenstein, you might ask. We just liked saying that name Liechtenstein.
