The charge to the jury will be a maximum return of a murder II but the jury can say it is something less, that is why it was critical to get the murder II out. Right now the jury can mitigate the matter and come to agree on a manslaughter. The problem with that is manslaughter of a youth carries a 15 year sentense, almost as much as murder II.
My mother lived in Sarasota until her passing 6 weeks ago. Very nice around where she lived. Most folks were the salt of the earth.
I've lost count how many times I've been to Florida at this point (Orlando, Palm Beach, NASA, and over to Tampa. ) Always liked Tampa better for some reason. Guess now I know why.

The Judge won’t have to pick up the slack to find Zimmerman guilty. Waiting in the wings is Eric Holder, ready to pounce just as soon as the trial is over, to press Federal charges against George Zimmerman. Not to mention the civil charges that Trayvon’s parents will be sure to file.
One way or the other, there will be someone out there to make sure that George Zimmerman’s goose is cooked. If I were George, and somehow made it out of this mousetrap, I’d move far, far away, like Alaska or Hawaii, as fast as I could, that’s if I wanted to stay alive. Alaska sounds like the best bet as there are less Blacks up there ready to use George as target practice.

Yes, like the Casey Anthony case, the mother who killed her young child and got off because of an irrational, loony jury. That was another FloriDUH jury, I might add, so this is no slam dunk for George Zimmerman, if he is unlucky enough to get a jury the equivalent of the Casey Anthony jury.
If so, this is probably why his lawyers didn't choose to utilize the "Stand Your Ground" defense permitted by Florida statute.
But I would like to see this verified.
And furthermore, if so, George will have the last laugh on a lot of evil people seeking to sue him to death....including Trayvon's greedy mommy dearest....and Eric "The Red" Holder.

IANAL, but I believe a judge can set aside a guilty verdict if it is clear that the evidence does not support such a verdict. I don't believe they can set aside an acquittal unless they can prove malfeasance by the jury.
Not true. A Civil Case is not dependent on the outcome of a Criminal Case to go forward.
Remember, OJ was found "not guilty" and was sued by Nicole Brown Simpson's parents for Wrongful Death and won.
In Zimmerman's case, he'll face both Federal "Civil Rights" charges that'll be trumped up beyond belief, and a civil suit from Trayvon Martin's parent's who've already financially benefitted beyond their wildest dreams by settling for millions from the gated community they and Zimmerman both live in.
George Zimmerman faces a long, debilitating, expensive road ahead of him even if he's adjudged "not guilty" in the current trial.
There's obviously not much left of the "double jeopardy" protection in our legal system.

That’s just the way the process turned out. The defense had a top notch jury consultant. The general consensus is the defense got a better result than the state.
