Bringing about stability in the Middle East is not somebody else's job, it's ours. It will be a difficult and expensive struggle, and it is essential the people of the region know the west is on their side

or their pimping by Islam.

“Mob Rule” isn’t effective government??
Well, Duh. “The Mob” usually makes poor and irrational choices.
Yes, and democracy doesn’t mean effective government if the rat running it deliberately imports Islamic welfare leech savages to change the demographics of the country and keep him in office.
I think speaking of Egypt I agree with Tony in the people don’t understand that just having democracy isn’t enough or the cure all...or voting itself.
They are under the impression that if one side wins that’s it...now that individual can do whatever they want...and that is not ‘governance’.....that’s ‘ruling’.
I had conversation with some Egyptians about just this. It’s very frustrating because, they can see only that after years with a dictator all they have to do is now vote and that’s democracy...end of story. They picked now the rest are the losers.
Many cannot read or write but to vote was a high honor and prescious within each one, regardless of their illiteracy.
So Tony had some good points I thought...
