The most unexpected result to come out of day 9 of the State of Florida v. George Zimmerman, the day the State finished presenting its witnesses, was not Trayvon Martin’s mother’s claim that it was her son’s screams heard on the 911 call. That was to be expected.
The rambling, occasionally absurd testimony of medical examiner Shiping Bao did not surprise, either. Nor did defense attorney Mark O’Mara’s cogent appeal that Zimmerman be acquitted given the State’s failure to make a convincing case of his guilt.
What was most intriguing, at least from the perspective of how the media corrupted this case, was the State’s failure to call Witness No. 5, Mary Cutcher, the most visible and outspoken of all the eyewitnesses.
The State did call her roommate, a blonde Colombian named Selma Mora. As Mora admitted, she and Cutcher did not see anything until after the shot was fired. When Mora did look out, she saw Zimmerman on top of Martin.
This revelation may have fired up the uninformed, but it only confirmed what Zimmerman told the Sanford PD that first night about the sequence of events.
“At this point,” Zimmerman said about the moment after the shot was fired, “I slid out from underneath him and got on top of the suspect holding his hands away from his body.”
Zimmerman never said otherwise. What made Mora’s testimony worth discussing is not what she said, but that the State chose her to say it. The prosecution did not call Cutcher.
In the 6-week-long hysteria between Martin’s shooting and Zimmerman’s arrest, Cutcher was everywhere. It was she who floated the theme that the police were ignoring those eyewitnesses whose testimony challenged Zimmerman’s innocence..................

I suppose, overall, that what upsets me the most about is that I voted for both Scott and Pam Bondi. A mistake I won't make again.
Zimmerman? Zimmerman is being used by the criminal element to intimidate law abiding citizens from defending themselves when attacked and other issues too numerous to detail. But the facts seem to be that the same people he played footsie with during his adult life, when politically expedient for their cause[s] turned against him. To simplify it, the tiger he was riding turned and ate him.

There was obviously no hesitation in her answers to questions that would cause a normal person to have to think to answer. She was very well coached prior to the testimony.
The prosecution used the child imagery to try to suggest that Travon was a child. He was 17 and very large for his age.
Other than that imagery I saw nothing that damaged Zimmerman’s case.
If Trayvon had killed Zimmerman, does anyone think there’d be a circus and a show trial?

Where are the Hispanics showing support for Zimmerman? I would suspect there are many who are as adamant in supporting him as there are blacks supporting Martin. This is not a black/white thing, it is a black/brown one.
What the article said is: "Prosecutors don’t even have to acknowledge her absence, and the defense is not allowed to."
In other words, the prosecution need not explain why they did not call her. The defense is not allowed to talk about what witnesses the prosecution did not call.
The defense could call her, but why would they? She, by her own account, witnessed nothing.
The other features may be synthetic as well.
I don’t know if he testified about this or not...but good points.

Having been there a few times trust me. She would pass for Colombian. That soil and climate is great for growing more than just coffee.

They don't need a Not Guilty verdict to do that. A group of kids did that last night in a nearby city and they could care less about Trayvon or even how to spell his name.
