If he runs for Prez how will that accord with the rising public sentiment against amnesty, since it is suppsedly such donors who support it?

Lot of Republicans believe Hispanics are the key to winning in the future, and that somehow pandering to illegals will win those Hispanics over, although most of us know it won't. Unless that public sentiment is funneling/bundling a lot of money into your campaign chest, you ignore the public sentiment when possible.

I'm actually curious how Abbott will handle a lot of things on immigration, but I'm betting he'll do what Perry does and make his donors happy.

Although I don't see Abbott being nearly as chummy with La Raza as Perry has been. Perry seems to genuinely like them, and they seem to like him.

I have been thinking a lot about this conflict between the rising sentiment among the populaton against amnesty and a path to citizenship on the one hand and this queston of donors on the other. So I have begun, with the aid of my far more savvy son-in-law, who has experience in the Silicon Valley. to put together a blog on it. You can see a few early bits by using the Google search engine to go to keep-the-republic.blogspot.com, which reflects the name of our old U.S.Defense-American Victory web site. I find it difficult to see why this is not the most vulnerable spot in the armor of our present ruler wannabe. You seem to be a TExan. Itwould be interesting to know what you think.
