This is a result of becoming ever more productive. There is less and less need for low information work, but we have many low information persons.

Plus, immigrants of all legalities are willing to work these jobs. This is why the hospitality industry is booming. The well employed travel and are entertained. The lesser employed wait on them.

A complete false hood. It is not due to the lack of jobs, it is because of government intrusion and high taxation.

Plus, immigrants of all legalities are willing to work these jobs?

It is not the legal immigrants that have hurt the work place, it is an army of illegals that will work for far less under the table.

The endgame is that we are reaching the point where the government will be the primary provider of all sustainance because they have rigged it that way.

I agree with that, but it isn't technology that's created it -- it's government regulations that make labor too expensive. With OSHA, Unemployment, minimum wages, workmen's comp etc., there is an added incentive to develop the technology that replaces labor.
