Darryl Issa is also an Arab, and he's pretty sound. WND's Joseph Farah is also Arab.
It might just be that Arabs don't like Arabs attacked on facial features as a general principle. There are better ways to insult Achmadinijad than by describing his appearence as Simian. Its the cheap shot. Just like attacking Dennis Kucinich on his height, it can come back you with Santorum or Jindal, etc.
