Obama is practicing the same methodology that has been rampant in business for the past decade or two: put power in the hands of inexperienced, incompetent people because they are the “best and brightest” (based on GPA and degrees from elite schools, allow them to wreak havoc like unsupervised children without any adult supervision, and then promote them or hire them into even bigger jobs before the mistakes of the past catch up to them. Competence has been redefined as “staying one step ahead of the sins of your past”.
It’s called the Peter Principle. Seen it work to perfection many times, yet businesses continue to keep the practice alive.
