MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- A federal judge has granted a temporary restraining order blocking enforcement of a new Wisconsin law that bans doctors who lack admitting privileges at nearby hospitals from performing abortions.

U.S. District Judge William Conley granted the hold Monday evening after a hearing earlier in the day. The restraining order will remain in place pending a fuller hearing July 17.

Although I'm not surprised, I am disappointed. It seems like for every good legislation that is passed, there are a litany of liberal judges out there ready to shut it down.

I swear, if I ever get another dog, I’m going to teach him to read and then give him a list of Federal judges to bite.

Message to Gov Walker:

Ignore the Judge's decision. Just say the decision is hereby null and void in this state. If the Feds attempt to arrest the Gov (Highly unlikely) have the Sheriff with State Police in support arrest the Feds. Good old Mexican stand off. They can be fun.

‘Kind of interesting. At our surgery center in GA(did not perform abortions) one of the requirements for our medical staff was that they had to have admitting privileges at a hospital. This judge has a blatent disregard for women and their “safety” at the very least. Then again, if they die at the center, they won’t be having any more abortions.

Nothing like a shortage of high authorities to defend the "right" of women to murder babies. I have a hunch leftist extremists enjoy murdering babies because they're too small to fight back.

You beat me to it.

If Zer0 can ignore Fed Judges & selectively enforce laws, why does Gov Walker not have the same prerogative?

...and it WOULD be fun to watch..

And here is the import of Presidential elections: the selection and appointment of Federal judges.

If you're going to go to that extent, you might as well do it in defense of a "law" that is actually constitutional, one that provides equal protection for the right to life of EVERY person, as our supreme law absolutely requires.

"No person shall be deprived of life without due process of law."

"No State shall deprive any person of life without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

That would matter a whole lot more if we weren’t constantly getting creamed by judges picked by both “major” parties.
