President Barack Obama is reportedly considering leaving no troops in Afghanistan after 2014, frustrated by the Afghan president, according to a pair of new reports.
American and European officials told The New York Times the administration was seriously considering the “zero option” after Afghan President Hamid Karzai criticized U.S. talks with the Taliban in June and then a video conference with the White House ended poorly.
A senior administration official confirmed the story to CNN, saying the idea has been gaining momentum.
Officials stressed to the outlets that there were still other options under consideration, but the idea of no troops had gone from a worst-case scenario to a serious possibility.

I just don’t understand it. In 1963, Democrats had a small country leader that wasn’t playing ball with the U.S., so they just had the CIA finance the coup, take the leader out in the country, and dispose of him.
But then, again, the Democrats had somebody in office, that had a pair on him, as the Russians found out.

So when do the troops in Afghanistan just refuse to go out on patrol? Obama is setting them up for failure. Why risk their lives and well-being for that?

It has been probable, since the debacle in Iraq, that the same end was in store for Afghanistan. Because of the Taliban, someone is there to take over and impose religious tyranny and to host terrorist groups. Now let’s see how boy wonder does in Israel. Egypt is a done deal with a intifada to come.

Obama selling out our troops has taken away the reason for them to fight.
Obama’s policies have failed again, sadly at the cost of thousands of American servicemen and women. Afghanistan will revert to a fundamentalist Islamic state within weeks of US troops leaving and all the billions we spent there will have been wasted. I feel sorry for many of the Afghan people who had at least a taste of democracy and especially for the women and young girls who will now be brutalized, sexually assualted, go without schooling or even medical care and revert to being little more than cattle in an Islamic theocracy. Islamic jihadists must be celebrating at the prospects of another victory over the Great Satan and will only be emboldened more to attack us on US soil.
