re: So it appears the prosecution should have focused on Zimmerman’s neglecting to follow the instruction of law enforcement professionals

I don’t intend to minimize the job of 911 dispatchers and call takers, but are they considered “law enforcement professionals”? I don’t think so. The standard requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent and some on the job training, according to http://www.bls.gov/ooh/office-and-administrative-support/police-fire-and-ambulance-dispatchers.htm. Some states require certification. I am still not sure that having a certificate qualifies a dispatcher to claim that they are a law enforcement professional.

We have come to the absurd state where blacks are murdered by other blacks by the dozen in many large cities yet it barely gets a mention on the evening news. But let one white person shoot one black person and suddenly you have an epidemic and would think that the KKK rules the streets.

That is very wrong, and from what I know, Zimmerman’s first words to the neighbor were something akin to “Just call the police”.

The fact remains that Trayvon chose to enter the ground near Zimmerman that his advocates claim he was defending. Someone not looking for trouble would have simply gone home. There is a price to be paid for the militance promoted in the black and gangland culture. Usually it is innocent victims who pay that price, but in this case, Trayvon paid it. As the militance escalates, more and more young black men will pay for it with their lives, on the streets and in our prisons.

” why did Zimmerman leave his car in the first place to go after his son?”

To keep him observation so he could point out his location when the police arrived. Try to keep up.

Nor was Trayvon fleeing in terror with Zim trying to run him down as the left portrays it.

From the transcrips with the police dispatcher:

Zim,”Now he is just staring at me”

Zim, “Yeah, Now he is coming towards me”

Zim, He has got his hand in his waistband and he is coming to check me out.

This shows that Trayvon was not intimidated at all by Zim observing him. On the contrary, he was trying to intimidate and stare down Zim and only ran away when he realized that Zim was talking on his phone probably calling the police and Trayvon was probably carrying reefer.

Nor did Zim try to run him down as he was carrying on an extended conversation with the dispatcher after Trayvon took off.

http://www.documentcloud.org/documents/326700-full-transcript-zimmerman.html

Considering that T was taller with a longer stride, played HS football, and Zim was on the phone with the dispatcher as he followed him, it is absurd to think Zim could have run him down.

Trayvon made it hid dads apt, stashed his weed and returned to attack the “Creepy Ass Cracker” who had disrespected him.

Excuse me? What is very wrong? Are you going to offer up some sort of explanation for your response? I don’t take lightly to being called a liar if that’s what you’re insinuating.

It is getting so sick that we could say they aren’t even trying to defend the criminals, just exploit the crimes as a means to inflame racist reactions. If the racist components are not there, Jesse jackasson and alice sharptoon would not even be in front of the treacherous media cameras! The obvious agenda to inflame race tension is becoming so obvious even black people are sick of it!

If one wants to understand the pathology that infects virtually every innercity in America one need not look further than the lack of intellectual rigor in this article. If you want to know why Detroit is bankrupt, if you want to know why Chicago has become a slaughterhouse, if you want to know why 96% of African-Americans voted for Barack Obama and consistently vote for Democrats, here is your answer in microcosm.

The argumentation in the article is beyond amateurish, it is absurd. A whole section of American society lives in a dream world in which book learning is demeaned, logic is disregarded, science and the scientific method are unknown.

Calm down, quite the opposite, I am affirming your words “WRONG! VERY WRONG!...” in reference to this silly author’s foolish and “wrong” assumptions.

a) street name
b) number on the nearest house

This was actually mentioned by GZ in the video walkthrough. He said that they were walking behind the houses, and there are no numbers there. (And indeed there weren't any, as anyone could see in the video.) GZ had to go to the nearest street - which was 50 yards away at most - to get to a street-facing wall and see the number.

The writer also says this:

why did Zimmerman leave his car in the first place to go after his son?

GZ was a free man at that time, and he could leave his car anywhere he pleases, and go anywhere he wants - as long as it is not otherwise illegal. There is nothing illegal about him walking on sidewalk behind houses. It was also perfectly legal for TM, by the way.

But was it wise? That's a different question, not unlike "is it wise to go to Normandy in 1944 to fight Nazis?" Of course it isn't wise, if you know what is good for you. It is patently unwise to go to war, to work as a police officer or a firefighter, to be a taxi driver, or even a thug... it is unwise to do anything that does not guarantee your safety. Still, people do unwise things because they have to. If a soldier doesn't fight the enemy, the enemy comes and kills him at home. If a police officer does not arrest the killer, the killer will eventually kill everyone in town. GZ was protecting his home because he wanted to do good. As we know, no good deed goes unpunished.

To prove guilt, the prosecution has to prove that it was NOT Zimmerman. The defense does not have to prove either way.

Ah’ comon. You must have missed this brilliant “reasoning” :

“The trial should be focused on the initial impact – that is how Trayvon was impacted once he realized he was being followed by someone who did not identify himself as he should have.” LOL

I've wondered about the lesser included offense issue, too. However, self-defense is self-defense, even if only manslaughter is charged and even that has be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.

I try civil cases and I wouldn't want the prosecution's case even on a more likely than not standard. From a lawyer's perspective this trial has been a nightmare for the prosecution.

why did Zimmerman leave his car in the first place to go after his son?

He didn't. He left his car to go look at a house number.

I don’t want to denigrate a group of people, but if you don’t known you can’t do what Trayvon did simply because a person didn’t stay in their car, you really do need to sit down before you hurt yourself.

Zimmerman got out of the car. He deserved it. It wouldn’t have happened if he would have stayed in his car.

This is actually rational to some people. No wonder they don’t think it’s wrong to pound someone’s head into the cement. Evidently this whole group has had their head pounded into the cement.

Isn’t it obvious?
