Escorted by a Humvee filled with heavily armed law enforcement officers, a white prisoner van carrying Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev roared into US District Court in Boston today, rushing past about a dozen people who shouted encouragement to the alleged Islamic terrorist.
Some of the supporters started chanting — “Justice for Dzhokhar’’ and “Give him his freedom back’’ — as the motorcade took Tsarnaev into the Joseph Moakley courthouse where he is scheduled to be arraigned on 30 federal charges, 17 of which could bring the death penalty.
The shouts of support for the 19-year-old Tsarnaev, who is accused of murdering three people and wounding some 260 people when he and his brother detonated two bombs at the Marathon finish line April 15, enraged a man who was walking past the courthouse.
“You are disgusting. You’re disgusting,’’ said the man who would not give his name. “Don’t you know people died?’’
The appearance of the former University of Massachusetts Dartmouth student is expected to be brief and under heavy guard. It should answer questions about the extent of injuries he sustained during a firefight with police the night before he was captured and how much he has recovered over the past 2½ months. His older brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev , the alleged mastermind of the bombings, died after the confrontation with police in Watertown.
Karina Figueroa, 35, a New York City resident, said she believes that Tsarnaev -- whose first name she spelled as “Jahar” -- is wrongly accused.
“I’ve seen a lot of videos showing inconsistencies,’’ said Figueroa. “They are framing him, I believe. I want him to be exonerated.’’ f a plan by government to impose martial law on Americans.

Yeah... I agree, how can this animal have supporters? And what a recovery? The reports were that he was shot up pretty good prior to capture. It’s been about a month.
This morning I went to Rapid Refill, the gas station on Jackson Road in Devens. There were two state troopers filling their motorcycles.
Around 10:15 a.m. my wife and I were driving down Jackson Road. A state police SUV was blocking the intersection of Jackson Road and Patton Road in the Southbound lane. The federal medical prison facility is just off Patton Road. One of the motorcycle troopers was blocking the northbound lane. The other was blocking the turnoff from the northbound lane to Patton Road. After a bit, several state police, U.S. Marshall service, and FBI vehicles rolled into the intersection and southbound to Route 2 for the drive to Boston.
I assume there was a road block at Patton Road beyond the prison. My wife and I were heading Westbound to Leominster so we were able to see the approximately six mile back up from the roadblock on Route 2 before the Jackson Road exit.
I don’t know how many law enforcement people were in the vehicles, but I counted twelve vehicles in the procession.

Nothing surprises me any more - Sadly many younger folks appear to be delusional. The desire to believe is all they need to create fact. Sanity has left the planet.
My bad. I must be having a tremendously fun summer because time is flying by.
If I was there I would have had a sign saying “Hang the Muslim bastard!”
