And oh yeah, the word -- "unexpectedly" is implied in the title.
This government is a total joke.
“It’s fun with jobless numbers Thursday once again.”
Their rear ends must be getting sore from pulling figures out of them.
Well, I’m guessing none of them should have been shocked that my 90 year old father filed for unemployment last week for the first time in his life! lol
And they stay on forever.
I’m still paying $100 per week to a guy who hasn’t worked a day since 2011. Unfortunately, his pay check for those 2011 hours was received in 2012 (January). He was laid off because of excessive absence, slovenly hygiene, and coming to work drunk. But Unemployment granted him benefits, and I am still paying.
He spent much of last year in the hospital in detox.
They have some rule in this state that if they are approved for benefits in any calendar year, they get to collect for the whole year, whether they are available for work, or not. The employer seems to have no say.
But! But! But!
Think of how much more time they will have to spend with their families.
The family that begs on the corner together stays together.
to borrow from Algore: "Everything that should be up, is DOWN! Everything that should be down, is UP!"
Even better. The Fed knew about it ahead of time.
