... How many times must we travel down this road? Don’t nominate a conservative, most conservatives don’t bother - either don’t vote, or show lackluster support. Liberal vs liberal just means the most liberal will win the race.

Offer a choice! Or don’t even bother showing up.

Two Election cycles and you folks still want to deny some of these polls that come out on the basis of being politically biased.

What we have learned is that

(1) Stupid people do come out in greater numbers to vote in POTUS contests.

This poll has us talking about Christie (RINO), and yet the fact Hillary Clinton is even a serious contender after all that has come out about Benghazi is astounding, but is not surprising given the growing ignorance and indifference of the voting population.

In OH, unless we run an actual conservative, it ain’t happening. Every major pollster voting model (myself included) whiffed big time on Franklin County. Coupled with Cuyahoga, Lucas, and liberal gains in Hamilton, OH is in danger of turning into PA where there won’t be enough votes in the state to make up the difference. Romney ran much better than previous GOPers in Eastern OH, particularly the coal region. These areas supported Clinton in the primaries last time around and will probably return blue if she is in the next election. The only way to counter this is to run an actual conservative candidate to contrast liberalism who can effectively articulate those principles.

Perhaps Ted Cruz will throw his hat in, now that Rubio has done himself enormous damage with the immigration issue. Maybe Rand Paul. Christie or Jeb Bush will be there, and I suspect Newt Gingrich will be back whether people want him or not. I doubt any of the other ‘12 contenders will be back.

“There’s absolutely no doubt that Governor Christie would be the strongest Republican in the general election,” said Tom Jensen, director of Public Policy Polling.

BS. Same old tried and disproven formula: nominate a RINO moderate who'll pander to the mushy middle and then take the conservative Replican base 100% for granted because they have nowhere else to go.

Of course, these genuises never learn that the base can and does stay home when offered another RINO. And they might some day soon learn that the conservative base can and will shift their support to independents, or even form a third party.

Christie?

East Coast (Strike One!)

Liberal (Strike Two!)

RINO (Strike Three!)

Why would anyone vote for Christie when they could vote for a REAL Democrat?

"Gov. Chris Christie gives the GOP the best chance to defeat Hillary Clinton". Well, ain’t that just special. I will not be voting for him, but I am sure there are enough died in the wool, true blue Republicans for him to make a respectable showing.

He quasi-endorsed Obama, perhaps deliberately to leave 2016 open for himself or punish Romney for not selecting him as VP. Fat piece of crap.
