I’m first generation, my Parents waited years to come over, they had to have a sponsor and were required to sign a binding legal document that they would receive or ask for ANY aid from the government. They never considered themselves hyphenated Americans,. When they became citizens they were AMERICANS period! Not Hungarian Americans, just Americans. I can’t get my head around Latino, Hispanic, African American( just when the hell do Blacks finally become just AMERICANS?) If you don’t want to be a AMERICAN then go the hell back to Mexico, Africa, Hispanola(isn’t that where a Hispanic would come from?) Ireland, Germany, Whatever! Be an AMERICAN, period! There that’s my American rant, GOD Bless America, Love it or get the hell out!

My point exactly until the Republican leadership takes this line and forgets about “demographics” and hypenhated Americans used by the hyphenated Demo-Com party they will continue to lose elections.
