And for what its worth, I believe someone else here said that there needs to be some real political blowback from this for those responsible for pushing it to this extreme...

There certainly does.

At the state level, that would include Angela Corey and whoever assigned her as "special prosecutor". Is Corey elected or appointed? And who assigned her to the job? Would that be the State AG, Pam Bondi?

Does the governor, Scott, bear any blame for this travesty?

At the federal level, we've got a whole 'nother kettle of fish...

For one, I'd like to know just who it was that called the media's attention to the case -- a full three weeks after the fact!

Did you know that the first national story didn't appear until three weeks to the day after the story was first reported locally. For three weeks, the Sanford community -- black and white -- knew of the case and was generally satisfied that it was self-defense. The original news stories were quite complete and the John Good eyewitness report was usually cited early in the story. Along with the development's recent history of break-ins.

Then, in a broad, coordinated cascade, the national stories hit. And they left out many of the things that had been reported locally -- like Good's eyewitness account, the recent break-ins, etc. And, as the story was developed, much selective editing was employed to slant the narrative.

Ryan Julison, Crump's sleazeball PR guy, may have been responsible for this. But I'm thinking it's more likely that somebody in the White House was handling the affair with the press.

I want to know who instructed the press. And I want to know why they agreed to foster the journalistic fraud.

Praise God! Thanks to the jury! They reviewed the facts and did the right thing in finding George Zimmerman not guilty! Notice it was NOT GUILTY, although you will hear the word “acquittal” used instead.

As a Floridian I have plenty to say and do to see that further justice is done! The fact that Angela Cory and Pam Bondi were responsible for not allowing facts to be brought before a Grand Jury needs to be addressed.

I hope thousands of Floridians will join me in seeing that support is given to the Seminole County Sheriff and Sanford Police Chief who were fired because they would not file charges against George Zimmerman. Why wouldn't they file charges? Because their full investigations showed that George Zimmerman acted in self defense.

I also hope that the citizens of Sanford will take a very close look at the actions of their Mayor and other city officials!!!

Republican Governor Rick Scott assigned Republican Angela Corey the job of prosecuting George Zimmerman

Angela Corey was elected in 2008 to her present position.
