I almost never post anything online, so I guess I don’t understand your point. However, I feel strongly about this cause, which is why I’m doing the best I can to put my voice out there.

If I may, the point is that we get lots of trolls, so all total newbies that come here are by default under a cloud of suspicion until they prove themselves over time. The level of suspicion doubles if the newbie comes on with a single passionate cause that gives them access to FR traffic, which is substantial, not to mention the very real risks associated with the political list building process.

Not to say your cause isn’t just or that you are insincere. But when you are challenged as to why you are here, you should be prepared for some serious interrogation. It’s reasonable, under the circumstances.

BTW, I’m not signing the petition. First, the only thing that will draw the Holder/Obama combine off a sustained attack on Zimmerman is raw political pragmatism. Online petitions, no matter how massive the results, are probably not a factor in their calculus.

Second, the best line of defense for Zimmerman right now, tactically speaking, is the favor of the law and a good attorney, and he has both.

Third, as difficult as it would be on GZ, there is a sense in which I’d almost like to see this go forward. As others have pointed out, this has been a good moment for conservatism, a small pocket of sanity in a wildly corrupt system, a moment when that system actually worked right. It has been far more encouraging and empowering for conservatives than it would have been if the case just disappeared in quiet anonymity. Having won at the state level, going on for the extra points at the federal level will only improve our score, and strengthen our cause. Yes, there is a risk of losing, but the players on both sides are all in and playing for keeps, and so we risk an even greater loss if we let this administration slide when it makes a bad move. Never waste a bad move by your opponent.
