I think Zimmerman was trying to locate him because the dispatcher asked him “What’s he doing now?” They were both thinking Martin was going to break into a house before the cops got there.
The burglary tool was found near the place he was casing. Some device to get through locks. The police never checked for fingerprints. They apparently never checked his prints against many earlier break-ins in that complex. If they did they never said. In any event the break-ins stopped after Travon was shot.
