The White House

Office of the Press Secretary

For Immediate Release - July 14, 2013

Statement by the President

The death of Trayvon Martin was a tragedy. Not just for his family, or for any one community, but for America. I know this case has elicited strong passions. And in the wake of the verdict, I know those passions may be running even higher. But we are a nation of laws, and a jury has spoken. I now ask every American to respect the call for calm reflection from two parents who lost their young son. And as we do, we should ask ourselves if we’re doing all we can to widen the circle of compassion and understanding in our own communities. We should ask ourselves if we’re doing all we can to stem the tide of gun violence that claims too many lives across this country on a daily basis. We should ask ourselves, as individuals and as a society, how we can prevent future tragedies like this. As citizens, that’s a job for all of us. That’s the way to honor Trayvon Martin.

HONORING Trayvon Martin?

We have a raving anti-white anti-Hispanic racist in office.

Please, America, NEVER MAKE THIS MISTAKE AGAIN.

I really don’t know how his statement could have been improved (except maybe by Shutting TFU in the first place). I give him credit for making about the best statement he could have.

What you have wanted him to say, other than apologize for his initial ill-considered statement? I honestly think this is about the best we could have gotten from him.

Passions are running high because they’ve been whipped up ...
and our good Prezidente has overseen this whipping-up process....

http://news.investors.com/ibd-editorials/071113-663403-justice-department-aided-sharpton-rallies-against-zimmerman.htm

and he used our tax money to do it, too (so that not ALL our tax money is being shipped overseas to promote terorrista IslamoFascista regimes or murdering Muslimo gangs around the world like in Egypt, Syria, Libya, Sudan, etc.)

Maybe barry wants us to “honor” the 9-11 terrorists also. What a punk loser.

Me, either. 20 years in the military cured me of that. To this day I have friends of all creeds and all colors...if Conservative, LOL! I have Libtards in the family; kinda stuck with some of them, though.

The People’s Republik of Madistan is a MAGNET now for every type of thug, gang banger and miscreant you can imagine, which doesn’t make me want to develope friendships there!

I cannot WAIT to move OUT of this Liberal nut job despoiled county!

What a POS this man is. Not one mention of the he** GZ was put through, thanks in part to him and his own gang of thugs.

Like someone else said, I’m hunkering down, riding out the storm. I’m beginning to think that barry is part of God’s punishment on this nation.

The unvarnished truth is that Travon Martin got exactly what he deserved. He committed a sneak, unprovoked, atrocious assault which was interdicted only by the use of deadly force. If he had not been shot he might well have killed George Zimmerman. One more blow to the head, one more bash of the head against concrete, one more attempted suffocation might well have been the murder of George Zimmerman. If Travon Martin had succeeded in getting possession of Zimmerman's gun, it is very likely he would have used it because he had already threatened Zimmerman's life before he commenced to beat Zimmerman within an inch of his life.

There is no plausible evidence contrary to these conclusions.

The president asks:

We should ask ourselves...how we can prevent future tragedies like this

The answer Mr. Pres. is to encourage more lawful gun possession so that murder and assault on the public pathways of American might be reduced as was so well accomplished in the matter of state vs. George Zimmerman.

Here’s a link to HuffPo article. The comments are interesting. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/07/14/obama-george-zimmerman_n_3595631.html

“Why honor a young man who was killed while apparently trying to beat someone to death? He’d still be alive if he hadn’t been doing that. That’s what the evidence showed. The jury decided the case on the evidence.

“Is it sad that Martin died? Of course. But to “honor” him is, in effect, honoring his violent behavior.

“Perhaps holding him up as an example of what can happen when you pound someone into the ground might stem the tide of violence. Not necessarily “gun” violence.”

Next week I presume he's going to tell us how to honor the Boston marathon bombers, then the 911 terrorists, and after that perhaps Fidel Castro or some other nefarious character.

we should ask ourselves if we’re doing all we can to widen the circle of compassion and understanding in our own communities.

I'm thinking about widening the circle of compassion by taking $20 million of taxpayer's money and blowing it on an extravagent vacation on Martha's Vineyard, following my $100 million vacation in Africa.

Can I get an "Amen"?!

I think he realizes this is not the case he needs it to be.

This case already helped him win an election. It was the case he needed it to be with the help of the media, the race pimps, and other liberals.

This race-hustler is too late to the dance. Every time the guy opens his mouth and makes an off-the-cuff statement about a racially-charged event, he makes a complete @ss of himself.

Just go back to that idiotic "cops acted stupidly" comment about the Henry Louis Gates incident in Massachusetts a few years ago. If law schools didn't have affirmative-action policies, he'd probably be selling used cars somewhere in the Chicago area today.
