Police say an armed man turned the tables on three gunmen who tried to rob him.
Investigators say the unidentified man was walking on 7th and Huntingdon around 4:15 a.m. when he was approached by three armed robbers.
Police say the suspects took out their weapons and pointed them at the man. The man, who was armed, took out his gun as well which prompted a shootout. Police have not yet revealed whether the would-be victim or the armed robbers opened fire first.

The start of a legend.
So many wonderful stories today of would be 0’s children being thwarted. Now if we could do something to the benefit stream to nudge these yutes into considering doing something more productive for society.
Somehow I missed that news story on NBC.
Black on white crime has been happening in Atlanta and steadily increasing in the number of “violent” crimes. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a self defense case here soon. People are fed up!
He won't be charged if he is one of Obama's protected group. If not, he better hope that scum bag Holder does not find out.
Police have not yet revealed whether the would-be victim or the armed robbers opened fire first....At this point, WHAT DOES IT MATTER?
General observation: bad guys do not spend the time on range that serious concealed or open carry citizens do to maintain proficiency in hitting the target.
He probably saw them holding their weapons parallel to the ground in that ridiculous can't-hit-squat gansta grip, and smiled as he drew.
Philly is one “pain in the ass town to get your CCW” in PA. They defy state law, they have one or two sheriffs to handle hundreds of applications, and on and on.
OTH, the outlier counties are lawful citizen friendly places. So, what we have here is probably a guy from outside of Philly, boldly going were no balless Philly dude would ever dare tread.
Philly is a strange town. I know, I’ve walked those same streets and I had no fear, because Montgomery county saw fit to follow the state’s “shall issue” rules established in 1987.
All you really had to do was subtly let the riff-raff know you were armed, they moved on with great vigor.
I bet the three made a classic blunder of letting their intended victim maneuver so one of them was between him and the other two. This happens easily unless you are aware of it, and maybe have training.
That is, something like this:
there;s a video of a guy at Threat Response Solutions that explains how the instructor an ex NRA (nuk security guy) was in a muzzie country and approached by four guys and they threaten him and he takes out all four. he explains it in a way that sounds credible.
In naval warfare this is called “crossing the T”.
not true. philly complies with the CCW shall carry law as passed by the state legislature. there are no issues with permit issuance that i have experienced. the line heve never been long — three people. and the philly police manage it not the sheriffs of the shire.
In ground warfare this is a flanking maneuver. Worth learning & practicing. Glad I saw this!
Plus, they hold their guns like idiots;)
